Rates — TopCashback usually wins

On the same retailer, TopCashback typically offers 5–15% more cashback than Quidco. Example: a retailer might offer 8% on TopCashback and 6.5% on Quidco.

TopCashback's "Highest Cashback Guarantee" makes this official — if you find a better rate on any other site, they'll beat it by 10%. Quidco doesn't offer this.

Fees — TopCashback is free, Quidco takes £5/year

Quidco takes the first £5 of your annual earnings. Below £5 total, you get nothing back. Above £5, they take £5 and you keep the rest.

For a user earning £50/year from Quidco, that's a 10% fee. For a user earning £500/year, it's 1%. TopCashback never charges a fee.

Withdrawal — TopCashback has no minimum

TopCashback pays out any amount, including 1p, to bank transfer, PayPal, or gift cards (with a bonus). Quidco's minimum varies by method — typically £5 to bank, some lower.

If you cash out frequently for small amounts, TopCashback is clearly better.

In-store cashback — Quidco wins

Quidco supports card-linked in-store cashback at up to 6.8%. Link your payment card once and Quidco credits cashback automatically for eligible purchases at participating shops.

TopCashback has limited in-store offerings and doesn't offer card-linked cashback as broadly.

If you spend in physical shops regularly, Quidco's in-store feature is genuinely valuable.

Payout reliability

Both sites have strong track records. Neither has a pattern of failing payouts. Where they differ is in how pending cashback resolves:

  • TopCashback — usually confirms within 30–60 days. Missing cashback claims are handled well.
  • Quidco — similar timeframe. Historically slightly more complaints about missing cashback resolution.

Both are legitimate. Neither is risky in the way a small unknown cashback site might be.

Which should you use?

Choose TopCashback if:

  • You want the highest cashback rate
  • You want to withdraw small amounts frequently
  • You don't want an annual fee cutting into your earnings
  • You mostly shop online

Choose Quidco if:

  • You spend regularly in physical shops and want automatic in-store cashback
  • You like having one account for online + in-store
  • You don't mind the £5/year fee

Use both if:

  • You want the best of both worlds — no reason not to have both accounts, and rate-check before each purchase

The verdict

TopCashback wins for most users. No fee, no minimum, higher rates, and a rate-beating guarantee. The only reason to prefer Quidco is if in-store card-linked cashback is valuable to you — and even then, you can run both.
