1. Who we are

Earn Online Directory ("we", "us", "our") operates a directory website at earn.land.me.uk listing online earning platforms across crypto, surveys, cashback, freelancing, micro-tasks, selling, content creation and related categories. We publish editorial reviews, trust scores, and current payout evidence.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the directory:

  • Vote fingerprints — when you vote on a platform, your browser generates a random identifier stored in your browser's localStorage. We hash this identifier with a server-side secret before storing it in our database. We never store your raw identifier, name, email, or IP address. The hash is used only to enforce one vote per device per platform.
  • Hashed IP addresses — for vote abuse detection, we store an HMAC-SHA256-hashed version of your IP address (never the raw IP). This hash cannot be reversed without our server-side secret.
  • User agent string — the browser identifier your browser sends automatically. Stored with votes for abuse detection only.
  • Watchlist data — stored entirely in your browser's localStorage. We never see it.
  • Standard server logs — our hosting provider logs basic request data (URL, timestamp, response code) for security and debugging.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, or financial data. We do not require an account. We do not sell any data.

3. Cookies and third parties

We use cookies and similar technologies from third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — anonymised traffic analytics. Google may place cookies on your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense — we display advertising to support the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session analytics to help us improve the site.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy (analytics and advertising providers).

5. Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to:

  • Access data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk)

Because we don't collect identifying data, there is usually nothing to access or delete — but you can email contact@earn.land.me.uk and we'll respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

Vote hashes are retained for as long as the site exists, because they power the community trust scores. Server logs are rotated every 30 days. Watchlist data stays in your browser until you clear it.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Fingerprints and IPs are hashed with HMAC-SHA256 before storage. Our database is hosted on an encrypted cloud provider. We follow industry-standard practices to protect against unauthorised access.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Many of the platforms we list require users to be 18+ (some because of financial services, others because of gambling-adjacent content). If you believe a child has used this site, contact us and we will delete any associated data.

9. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for a platform, we may earn a referral commission from the operator at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships never affect:

  • A platform's trust score
  • Its status label (Active, Under Review, Paused, Defunct, Blacklisted)
  • Its inclusion or exclusion from the directory
  • Its position in sorted views (which are always by trust score, name, or date — never by commission)

Platforms that fail our checks are flagged or blacklisted regardless of whether they offer us a referral commission.

  • No warranty. Information on this site is provided "as is". We make no guarantee about any third-party platform's reliability, solvency, honesty, or continued operation. Online earning platforms can change ownership, terms, or behaviour without warning.
  • No financial or legal advice. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Crypto is volatile. Freelancing income is taxable. Gambling-adjacent platforms carry real-money risk. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
  • No guarantee of earnings. Trust scores reflect our editorial assessment of current payout evidence and community feedback. They are not a promise that you personally will be paid, or that a platform will continue to operate. Always test with a small amount before investing significant time.
  • Third-party links. The directory contains links to third-party platforms, including affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those platforms.
  • Blacklisted platforms. Platforms labelled "blacklisted" are marked for reasons we consider strong — casino/gambling content presented as free earning, security warnings from independent services, official regulatory warnings, or clear scam patterns. We do not recommend them.
  • Acceptable use. Do not attempt to manipulate votes, scrape the site aggressively, use our API to build a competing service, or misrepresent our listings. Automated access is limited to declared user agents.
  • Corrections. If you are a platform operator and believe our information is inaccurate, email contact@earn.land.me.uk with evidence. We correct verified errors promptly.
  • Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any losses arising from your use of the site or of any third-party platform we link to, including but not limited to financial loss, loss of data, or personal harm.
  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
